I bet you are wondering why I have a bucket list of places I want to shoot on my homepage! Well let me tell you why....
As a photographer we get to shoot many different people in many different places. That is such an exciting aspect of the job! However, a lot of the places that people want to get their pictures taken are oversaturated and overshot. What I mean by that is if you see someones beautiful picture taken in this beautiful place then everybody else wants pictures done there as well. As a result of this us photographers end up shooting in the same places again and again.
While we can take beautiful pictures anywhere and still make them unique to you, it begins to feel a little stale to us. We are creative beings and we thrive on inspiration and creativity. Whenever we get to shoot at and explore a new place the possibility's are endless so our creative side begins to truly come alive in full force. For this reason alone I am always looking for the next best location to awaken this in me.
Every year I add a bucket list of locations where I am dying to shoot at. I place it front and center on my website so everyone can see those options. Hopefully this will encourage someone else to also want epic photos in one of these locations. I know you are still thinking get to the point what does that even mean?
Basically the way it works is, if you want to choose one of these locations I will waive the travel fee depending on how far it is, or significantly discount it for the farther away ones. I hope this encourages some of you to think outside the box and go on an adventure with me!
